The Sol-Care™ Fast Release Blood Collection Tube Holder is a non-sterile reusable plastic tube holder with safety mechanism. It is used in conjunction with multi-sample needle in routine blood sampling procedures. The used needle then can be released simply from the holder by pushing the release mechanism to protect users from needlestick injuries.

Intended use: The Sol-Care™ Fast release blood collection tube holder is a non-sterile reusable device designed to attach and hold multi-sample needle or safety multi-sample needle during blood collection. The holder has a quick release feature which allows the contaminated needle to be disengaged from the holder with a simple one-handed push-button technique.

Intended user: Licensed healthcare professionals (HCP).

Cautions:

• The Sol-Care™ Fast release reusable holder must be cleaned after each procedure and between each patient to prevent the risk of cross contamination.
• Sol-Care™ Fast release Holder can be re-activated – maximum of 100 times.
• Do not activate the device during blood collection procedure.
• There is no need to clean the device when re-used for 1 patient during 1 procedure (changing needle during 1 blood collection procedure)
• Device can be re-reprocessed till max 15 cleaning cycles. The specific number of reuse cycles was validated.
• Do not soak in bleach overnight.
• Never clean with the needle attached to the holder.
• Do not autoclave the device, do not use in heat sterilizer.
• If the holder is visibly soiled with blood or there is failure of product integrity, or failure to activate the release button, discard the device immediately into sharps container according to facility protocol.
• Check a functionality of the safety needle release button prior to the connection with new needle.
